Forward Power from on High, or, the Two Hundredth Anniversary of the Great Morovian Revival 1727-1927 by Greenfield, John
FOREWORD
In the transforming process necessary for the mind to determine "What is that good acceptable and will of God," selection was made of Power from on High as the book next in line of succession to those already made available "without money and without price" by the World-wide Revival Prayer Movement. Not only do we find within its covers a marvellous record of a revival, the influence of which has lasted until the time-more than 200 years-but we have pen portraits of many mighty men of God who have contributed to the vitality of this Spirit-inaugurated movement. The noble Count Zinzendorf, under whose leadership the revival started that preacher of true righteousness-John Wesley and his brother Charles-of whom it may be truly said, " he being dead yet speaketh," for his matchless songs are used throughout the world, both graduates of Oxford University; George Whitefield, another of Great Britain's stalwart contenders for the "faith once delivered to the saints" and numbers of others whose names "time would fail" to mention here, "Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises!" May "The Lord of hosts, who is wonderful in counsel, and excellent in working" use the message of this booklet to stir afresh revival flames, and may we like these "men of old" "count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Jesus Christ our Lord."
